From Concept to Launch
In the podcast, Tom and Lewis share the origin story of Seatsy — how two entrepreneurs with complementary backgrounds in sports travel and Dubai real estate identified a gap in the premium ticketing market across the GCC and beyond.
Tom, founder of UK sports tour operator Thrive Sports Co, had spent years placing fans at world-class events. Lewis, Chairman of Allsopp & Allsopp — one of Dubai's most recognised real estate brands — brought the capital, the network, and a deep understanding of the UAE market. Together, they saw an opportunity: a tech-first, experience-led marketplace that gives fans, corporates, and VIP guests access to the best seats at the world's biggest sport and entertainment events.
Seatsy launched in April 2026 and recorded over 5,000 unique visitors in its opening days and already achieved over 1 million AED in ticket sales — early proof of the demand the platform was built to serve.
